Schools should be a place for diversity of opinion and with room for debate.
Allowing students to get away with tearing down posters is NOT ok, if it would be the other way around there might have been no sympathy, which is another issue, the lack of sympathy for what a people beliefs.
A person should be allowed to believe in a purely biological definition of gender and express that freely. I believe this discussion is like beliefs about death, you cannot prove anything other than a purely scientific definition of sex, anything beyond that is up to people to decide and as there cannot be evidence neither can be marked as "misinformation", both are belief.
Pressuring a person "to explain their definition of gender" so said "because it is not "what most people are thought to believe" is indoctrination. A person should be free to decide for themself (as long as it is a belief that extends only to themself and doesn't effects others, such as the "belief" "my body may hit people").
